The shed is 12 x 24.
12 x 12 has a floor and is completly enclosed. This is the area that has the doors.
THe other 12 x 12 has one wall open to the outside and has a dirt floor. This is so I can park my 4×8 trailer in it.
One day I may decide to install a garage door on that opening though.
Whats the name of that song? Thanks
music yakety sax by boots randolph, made popular from the benny hill show
pity theres no hills angels but the vid is good
garry entropy
Great video… I am going to try making shed. Any recommended books that will who how to make the roof, as I dont have much experience in this part! Thanks!
No recommendations on books; I didn’t learn from a book. If you have Habitat for Humanity in your community, try working with them for a while. You will learn all you need to. Great organization also.
nice song… benny
What do you think would be the average cost of a 10×14 shed ?
I cannot say. It depends on too many variables. My 12×24 cost about $2500 in materials, and we did all the work.
Hope that helps some.
Great video! Thanks for including it. Have embended it on my website for others to enjoy
I like the vid and the shed. But how many people did you have working and how long did it take?
cool. how come you left it just as dirt ? save money? Looks really good. I like the idea I would put my boat in one end.
THanks.
Kept the covered part dirt mainly to save time and money. Just parking a trailer in there.
I may some day put some pavers in there.
Did it with 2 people, my father and myself.
8 days was us working together, and the other 3 by myself.
wow I love it … Good job but God did that and you guys got Gift from God
could u work any slower
What did you use for sheathing?
these kind of videos teach absolutely nothing just circuses.
Used 1/2″ OSB for the roof sheathing.
For the walls, we put cross braces at every corner, so sheathing was not required by local building code.
We put up heavy duty tar paper, and then hardiplank for the siding.
Sorry you wasted your time and mine by watching it and responding.
Next time, just don’t watch it.
Circuses because your video has no details ! If I knew nothing about building a shed , what would your video teach me ? It goes by too fast maybe I would become a benny Hill fan after a while but that’s it.
Is this a house retirement for your dad ?
dude,
your retarded, the video is called “The Making of a Shed” NOT “how to make a shed” DUMBASS
Great building and great video. Time Lapse are very entertaining. Thanks for posting.
One question, why is the left side of the building floorless? [Unless further construction took place on the soil behind closed walls?]
Again, cool video.
Thanks. Appreciate your comments.
The left side is open, kind of like a garage. It has 3 sides, and the 4th is open.
I did that so I can put my 4×8 trailer in there and get it out of the weather.
Right now it is open, but eventually I may hang a garage door opener on it.
Mark
Thanks. I thought that might be the case. Great idea, great shed. You built a cool building. Be proud.
